During this course, students will learn about fundamental principles of drug discovery, such as target identification, lead optimization, and preclinical evaluation. Students will also learn about the clinical trial process, including the role of regulatory bodies, the drug approval process, and post-market surveillance. Students will be exposed to emerging drug discovery and development trends and use molecular modeling software to visualize interactions between drugs and their targets. This course provides a comprehensive overview of the drug development process from initial discovery through commercialization.
