CNS6709: Couples, Marital, and Family Dynamics

This course provides theoretical and practical foundations for counseling couples and families. It explores contemporary approaches in family, couples, and marital counseling with an emphasis on systemic models of family functioning and therapeutic intervention. The course analyzes the impact of family systems on the individual and the importance of family support in the treatment of mental health disorders across the lifespan.
