This course introduces students to the study of world religions through an exploration of historical development, sacred texts, practices, and lifeways. Students will examine the primary traditions of global religious communities and investigate contemporary movements in North America, considering both continuity and change across contexts. Emphasis is placed on understanding how religious ideas shape and are shaped by society and culture, fostering a deeper appreciation for the significance of various religious expressions and their influence on human life.
