This course provides a comprehensive overview of the civil litigation process, equipping students with the practical skills necessary to support attorneys in all phases of civil litigation. Students will learn how to draft key legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery. Emphasis will be placed on the application of the rules of civil procedure and evidence, as well as ethical guidelines governing the conduct of paralegals and attorneys. Students will also develop skills in witness preparation and trial assistance, including deposition support and trial readiness. Additionally, the course introduces Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) as a critical tool for effective dispute resolution.
