ANS5221 Principles of Instrumentation and Patient Monitoring I


Prerequisite(s): Permission of the faculty
Corequisite(s): None
Covers the fundamental principles of measurement and the principles, application and interpretation of various monitoring modalities including: ECG, invasive and non-invasive blood pressure, oximetry, cardiac output, respiratory gas analysis as well as monitoring respiration. Also includes intraoperative neurophysiology monitoring, temperature, renal function, coagulation/hemostasis, and neuromuscular junction. 2 credit hours
